Last year was the longest and most challenging tax season ever! And just when it was finally ending, the new one started.
Welcome to another tax season :) We’re grateful and glad to be of service to you, your family, and your friends.
2021 has started with new tax laws, a new stimulus package, and a new administration in place which all create a lot of uncertainty, lots of questions, and some delays! Rest assured we are doing our best to prepare so we can give you the best and highest quality of service possible.
We can already see this is going to be another long and challenging season, so we added extra staff members to better serve you. You may see some new faces or hear some new voices when you call in.
2021 Tax Season Hours are:
Tuesday through Friday: 9am – 5pm
Saturday: 9am – 6pm
Sunday and Monday: Closed
We hated having to close the office last year! Safety measures have been implemented for 2021 so the office can remain open. We are fully staffed and operational, however, all appointments will have to be “no contact” until further notice.

We are pleased to announce that face-to-face appointments will resume on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.
Office hours are Tuesday - Saturday from 9 am-6 pm.
WE WILL ALSO CONTINUE TO OFFER CONTACTLESS APPOINTMENTS for those that are uncomfortable with face-to-face or unable to make it in person.
We will complete your tax return remotely in 2-3 business days. When we are ready to finalize it, we will contact you by phone or video call (whatever you prefer) and once you approve it, we will electronically file it for you.
You have 2 options on how to accomplish that:
1) the preferred method: email your documents to info@keyfinsol.com
2) or, schedule an appointment to drop-off your paperwork in person by clicking here http://www.bookmeatime.com/keyfinsol
The in-person drop-off service is just a 5-minute appointment.

In an effort to better serve you during your drop-off or face-to-face appointment, there will be new guidelines in place effective immediately:
- Only the person(s) dropping off paperwork will be allowed in the office or waiting room. Please refrain from bringing children or additional people with you. We realize this may be inconvenient, but please understand we are only doing this for their and our safety.
- Please call 630-263-7070 when you arrive and we will let you know when it’s okay to come in. This will give us sufficient time to sanitize the office in between clients.
- Masks are required and gloves are encouraged while on our premises.
- If you have been running a fever, had a cough or ANY other Covid-19 symptoms within 48 hours of your appointment, please do not come to your appointment even if it's just to drop something off.
Please remember that the deadline to file and pay your tax bill is July 15, 2020 and an extension is available to file your return until October 15th - but, you must still PAY your tax bill by July 15th.

The government has announced that we will be allowed to open for business at the end of the month and, that we are allowed to resume face-to-face appointments beginning on Saturday, May 30th. But... to be honest, we don't quite feel safe jumping right back to the way things were before. Everyone on our staff has young children and some of them, my daughter included, have asthma. The last thing we want is for one of our precious children to get sick or have to suffer in a hospital room alone due to the hospital restrictions on COVID-19 patients.
For that reason, we are going to hold off on resuming face-to-face appointments just a little while longer. We want to wait and see how the population handles the new ease on restrictions and how the CDC reports the numbers of new cases in our area in the upcoming weeks.
I think we all recognize that things will not be going back to our old normal any time soon. We must be proactive in our health and safety and make decisions, that although may be difficult, are what we feel is best for our own individual families and, truth be told, for yours.
WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS AND WILL CONTINUE TO PREPARE YOUR TAX RETURNS... we just have to do it remotely for a little while longer.
Until at least the week of June 15th, we will continue to offer contactless appointments.

Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to suspend face to face appointments starting Monday, March 23rd.
You are an important part of our tax family and your safety is our priority! Appointments will resume on Tuesday, April 7th pending further direction from the authorities, of course. When you are ready, you can book an appointment by clicking here. We are considering offering virtual appointments, should the need arise. More details on this to follow at a later time.
The good news is that the deadline to file and pay your tax bill has officially been moved to July 15th. You do not need to file an extension - everyone automatically gets an extra 90 days to file your taxes! And, even If you end up owing, you will not be charged a penalty or any interest. If you are considering an extension, you only get extra time to file (until October 15) but your tax payment deadline is still July 15, 2020.
